Andromeda Images is one of my many creative babies.
My interest in taking pictures and making videos started when I was a kid with disposable Kodaks and cheap video cameras. I made lots of artsy fartsy attempts at everything from self-portraiture to landscapes to vlogging, and found that I really loved the creative process of making images that express how I see the world. My study trip to Scotland in 2017 really solidified my love for taking pictures and was the first time I felt like I had a particular story I wanted to tell with the images I took. I had a relatively cheap Kodak in tow which served me well while hiking around the Highlands. It helped me capture those life-changing memories for myself and for those who couldn't be with me, which was really special. Now, I do a lot of cycling and hiking on the regular where I like to carry as little gear as possible, so I only take my iPhone with me. I've been able to take loads of images I'm really proud of with just a tiny camera in my pocket. The images below are a curation of the result of me following my bliss, trying things out, and learning bits and pieces along the way about how to take better photos. I love that technology allows us to capture and enhance the world around us so that we don't lose the feeling of what it was like to be in a particular place at a particular time, and so we can share those moments with others down the line. Through these attempts at capturing life through a lens, I've learned that the world is full of beautiful things, you've just gotta keep your eyes peeled and be willing to chase them. Thank you for taking a look at my gallery. I hope you enjoy the pictures and that you'll go out there and take some yourself!
